Urghh why hadn’t I seen this before?

So , I’m in love with XMEN … I remember being around 10 watching the first movie .. and STORM has been my love ever since … Kept nagging dad to get me those completely white lenses so I could change the weather too but he never did 😥 ..

Well this is what its all about :

En Sabah Nur (Oscar Isaac) is this immensely powerful Mutant and apparently is thought to be the first of his kind .. He kind of rules ancient Egypt ( yno like a pharaoh – totally digging the historical scenes ) until he’s  betrayed by his worshippers who entrap him alive.*Gutteddd*

His four lieutenants die preserving his body . Years pass and its 1983 (wasn’t even born then but) some Egyptians find him and Awaken him . He believes the world has lost it’s way without his presence (nutter)  because the “weak” rule it. He basically wants to destroy the world and remake it ( complete and utter MEFF)  he recruits Ororo Munroe -BABEEE (Shes storm for those who don’t know) he literally turns her hair white while making her more powerful.

 

Raven rescues Kurt and employs the services of black marketeer Caliban to transport them to America. En Sabah Nur recruits Caliban’s enforcer, Psylocke, who inturn leads him to Angel. En Sabah Nur enhances both their powers, transforming Angel’s wings into metal – super COOL !

Alex summers (Lucas Till)  discovers that his younger brother (I had nooo idea they were related) Scott (Tye Sheridan) , literally has laser eyes and takes him to Professor Xavier  (James MCAvoy) hoping he will teach him to control his powers .

Raven (Jennifer lawrence)  brings Kurt to the institute. Apocalypse’s powers cause problems  around the world, leading Xavier and Alex to meet Moira (Rose byrne) who has been researching the legend of Nur, with her previous memories of their relationship erased by Xavier.

In Poland , Erik -Magneto (Gorgeous Michael Fassbender who is NOT single atm 😥 ;  lives with his wife and their young daughter, Nina (same name as my aunty- awkward) . He uses his powers to save a worker and instead of being grateful they report him the dirty little rats. The police accidentally Kill Erik’s daughter as she cannot control her powers she too is a mutant. He retaliates by murdering them. En Sabah Nur approaches the disheartened Erik and takes him to Auchwitz , where Erik’s power first manifested.

En Sabah Nur enters Xavier’s mind while Xavier is using  Cerebro and co-opting Xavier’s powers he forces all global superpowers to launch Earth’s entire nuclear arsenal into space to prevent interference.

Attempting to stop them, Alex accidentally causes an explosion that destroys the mansion at this point I was soo gutted because the house was stunning however , Peter Maximoff —having learned that he is Erik’s son, hoping that Xavier can help to find him—arrives in time to use his super speed to clear everyone just before the explosion which was soooo awesome !

Alex is presumed dead tho 😦 . Colonel Strykers forces  capture Hank, Raven, Peter, and Moira, and take them to a military facility for interrogation. Scott, Jean and Kurt covertly follow and liberate their comrades using Stryker’s mind-controlled and brainwashed experiment,weapon X (Wolverineee) whose memories Jean partially restores.

At En Sabah Nur’s behest, Erik uses his powers to control Earth’s magnetic poles, causing widespread destruction across the planet and many causalites. En Sabah Nur (can I abbreviate this to ESN ? PLEASE)  plans to transfer his consciousness into Xavier’s body and use Xavier’s power to enslave the minds of every person on earth. Xavier secretly sends a telepathic distress call to Jean, and the others travel to Cairo to battle Apocalypse.

They rescue Xavier, but he loses his hair as the process nears completion. Angel is defeated and incapacitated in the battle, apparently killed.

Finally, Xavier convinces Jean to unleash all of her powers, incinerating ESN . In all this chaos, Psylocke flees. little wimp but gorgeous nonetheless.

Xavier restores Moira’s memories, and they get back together even without his hair – Bless .

Erik and Jean help reconstruct the school, but Erik refuses Xavier’s offer to stay and help teach.

As the new X-Men, Hank and Raven train new recruits Scott, Jean, Ororo, Kurt and Peter.
