Queen Of The South

So there’s a new TV Series and It’s all about the “Criminal World” within Mexico.

It begins with the ending first. I know you’re all wondering like wth .. why do that but trust me .. It’s good !!

Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga) is a low level dealer and a Mexican money-changer who by chance meets El Guero (Jon Michael Ecker) who happens to be the Godson of  Epifanio Varga ( he’s like totally into the selling of drugs and other illegal things but at the same time he’s entering politics) a perfect combo for intense corruption. Well her and El Guero fall for one another (which was adorbs)

Anyways, Teresa is first introduced as this powerful and immensely successful not to mention stunning woman who is within minutes assassinated through the window of her villa. As she slowly bleeds out she begins to tell the story, in voice-over of how she became the most powerful drug-lord (or shall we say DrugQueen 😛 )

Something tragic happens (don’t want to give much away but-) which  forces her to flee the country . She seeks refuge in America and ends up working for Camila (Veronica Falcón) who becomes her protector (but keeps her captive at the same time)  and happens to be Epifanio’s estranged wife. She now plans to take over the empire that she built with him.

James Valdez (I actually started watching the show because of him – FAV) has been working for Camila and teaches Teresa how to survive in the drug world .

It’s Cyrus from OUAT ❤

LOL this Gif   :’)

Teresa ends up starting her own drug empire, becoming one of the world’s wealthiest women in the process. With her success, she discovers that money doesn’t fix all of her problems. Also she can only depend on herself if she wants to stay one step ahead of others and stay alive.
